Funtown Galaxi Makes Way For Wild Mouse

The venerable SDC Galaxi at Funtown Splashtown U.S.A. closed at the end of the season after operating at the Maine park for 30 years. When the park opens in May, a new roller coaster will be in its place to thrill guests. Park CEO Ken Cormier has acquired a Maurer Söhne Wild Mouse from Jolly Roger Park in Ocean City, Maryland.

The Wild Mouse stands almost 50 feet tall and features over 1200 feet of twisting track. Similar Maurer Söhne Wild Mouse rides operate at Lagoon in Utah and Wild Adventures in Georgia.

Funtown Splashtown U.S.A. is home to two roller coasters, including Excalibur, a popular CCI woodie constructed in 1998.
