We are saddened to report that one of ACE's three founders, Paul Greenwald, passed away on Tuesday, April 8. Although he had not been feeling well off and on and had seen a variety of doctors, his passing was due to sudden cardiac arrest.
American Coaster Enthusiasts was founded in 1978 by Richard Munch, Paul Greenwald and Roy Brashears, one year after a roller coaster marathon to promote the opening of the motion picture "Rollercoaster" brought coaster enthusiasts together in a pre-Internet era.
Paul was also one of the founders of the Western New York Coaster Club and resided in that area. He is survived by his wife, Paula. No calling hours or a memorial service for Paul is being planned at this time.
ACE extends its condolences, best wishes and prayers to Paul's wife, family and friends.
