Busch Gardens Tampa, in Tampa, Florida, has unveiled plans for a new spinning coaster from Mack Rides GmBH, which is expected to open in 2016.
Cobra's Curse is designed for families — people 42 inches tall and above — and will be a sure bet for riders of all ages. Strapping into an eight-passenger train, they'll rise 70 feet on a vertical lift, then drop into the Serengeti Plain, spinning and winding for 3.5 minutes (thanks to a second lift) over 2,100 feet of track at speeds up to 40 mph.
The queue for Cobra's Curse will run through an air-conditioned building, which will make those long, hot summer days a bit more bearable.
