In 2016, Adventureland, near Des Moines, Iowa, will debut The Monster, a new steel roller coaster from Gerstlauer. With a 2,500 feet of track, a133 foot vertical lift hill, five inversions, a 101 degree first drop and 10 airtime moments, The Monster is sure to give riders a thrill. It will cross the park's existing Sky Ride eight times and will boast the first "negative-G stall loop" in the western hemisphere!
To make way for The Monster, September 7 will mark the last operating day for the park's popular Log Ride, which is over 40 years old and required increased maintenance. The park promises a replacement for it sometime in the future.
