Knowing the importance of preserving history, Cedar Point shipped cars from recently closed Wildcat and Disaster Transport roller coasters to NRCMA's archive facility in Plainview, Texas. There they will be processed and stored.
According to H. John Hildebrandt, Cedar Point's vice-president and general manager, "Both the Wildcat and Disaster Transport/Avalanche Run thrilled millions of Cedar Point guests in their history. We are very happy that the National Roller Coaster Museum will be able to preserve their memories. The NCRMA shows our commitment as an industry to preserving and honoring the wonderful machines that so help to define who we are."
