GCII woodie coming to Germany's Freizeitpark Plohn

Freizeitpark Plohn in Lengenfeld, Germany is getting a Great Coasters International, Inc. (GCII) wood coaster for the 2009 season. The as yet unnamed 90-foot tall woodie will feature a 71-foot drop and two tunnels along the 2,379-foot long course. Reaching speeds of 45.5 mph the layout will follow the park's terrain, dive under the park's log flume and fly over the existing train ride. Although the park has over 40 attractions, its current coaster lineup consists of a Flitzer and Wacky Worm, making this new GCII a significant addition to this mid-sized park. The coaster is expected to open next spring.
